Welcome to the website of the Cumnor Players.
We were established in 2007 and presented our inaugural village pantomime Cinderella in December of that year at the Cumnor Village Hall. The production was a tremendous success providing fun and entertainment for participants and audiences alike, as well as raising funds for the village primary school and local charities. Spurred on by this success, we decided to do it all over again...and again (oh no you didn't... oh yes we did!).
To recognise our 10th anniversary year in 2016, the Cumnor Parish News included a special review article reflecting on achievements to date!
This year's Pantomime rehearsals are well underway and we shall soon bring you our take on the panto classic...
Performances will take place at Cumnor Village Hall on Wednesday 6th (7.30pm), Thursday 7th (7.30pm), Friday 8th (7.30pm) and Saturday 9th (2.00 pm and 7.00pm) December 2017.
Tickets are now on sale and may be ordered on-line using the form below, or from Cumnor Newsagents ("Dick's"... appropriately!)

We are delighted to report that Clare Denton has won
the NODA Nigel Gravette Award for Best Performance in a Pantomime for her
role as wicked Prince John in our 2016 Panto Robin and the Hoods.
The NODA reviewer said:
"Clare Denton almost stole the show as the vain, pretentious, preening and most definitely over the top Prince John. There were some memorably amusing exchanges with the audience as the ‘Prince’ showed his disdain for the lowly people. The characterisation was spot on and the lisp and protruding front teeth all added to the fun. Clare’s theatrical experience certainly showed and her strong vocal delivery was easily a match for some of the quite challenging music. This was a fine comic performance."
Congratulations to Clare for this wonderful achievement!
This follows from our Highly Commended from NODA for our 2014 production of Jack and the Beanstalk.
